Dr. Susan K. Sieben, DVM

Dr. Sieben was born and raised in New York. She completed her college education in 1977 at OSU. She is married to Paul Sieben, has three daughters, and one grandson. She worked in upstate New York as well as Boston, MA and Miami, FL before moving to Ohio. She owned a small practice in Lima for 8 years, and then moved to Ottawa Hills where she practiced in Perrysburg for 8 years. While she was in Perrysburg, she met Dr. Ferguson and made plans to own a practice together someday. In 1998, Dr. Sieben purchased Holly Farms from Dr. John Hannan, and added Dr. Ferguson two years later. Dr. Sieben is a member of AAHA, AVMA, OVMA, and TVMA. When she is not working at the practice, Dr. Sieben is active in her church, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown Toledo. She teaches Sunday School, sings in the choir, and enjoys helping with the Greek Festival every year. She also donates her time at Ottawa Hills Elementary School teaching and caring for the class pets.

Dr. Susie M. Ferguson, DVM

Dr. Ferguson grew up in Geneseo, New York, a small village in the western Finger Lake region. She and her sister went to Raleigh, NC where they attended a small women’s college. In summers, and often off quarters, she worked in the research labs at NC State, the Argonne National Lab in Illinois, and the brand new vet school at NC State. The great experiences she had with these vets changed her plans from a career in human medicine to veterinary medicine.

Dr. Ferguson obtained her DVM at The Ohio State University. While attending OSU she spent a quarter studying abroad in Scotland.

After graduation she spent two years at a large emergency clinic in VA beach where she worked 12 hour night shifts to save up enough to visit her classmate in Australia.

After moving back to Ohio, Dr. Ferguson worked for several vets in the Toledo area including Dr. Myers, Dr. North, and Dr. Elrod before joining Dr. Sieben at Holly Farms in 2000.
